Bing Liu, Director of New Energy Application Joint Lab of Jiangnan Graphene Research Institute and the Sixth Element (Changzhou) Materials Technology Co., Ltd. He earned his PhD in Chemistry at Clemson University in 2009. He has worked on nano carbon materials and their applications especially in energy storage (LIBs, supercapacitors, fuel cells, MFCs, etc) and composites.

Graphene has generated significant interest across a range of industries due to its excellent mechanical, optical, thermal, electronic, and other properties. These attributes endow graphene-filled paints and coatings with unique properties in different applications. A brief summary of recent advancements in graphene-based paints and coatings will be introduced. The Sixth Element is the leading producer of graphene and graphene oxide materials in China and the world. Updates on graphene application in paints and coatings developed at Sixth Element will also be discussed.
