演讲题目:Multi-strategy preparation of high-quality graphene quantum dots

Graphene quantum dots (GQDs) have extensive applications in information, environment, energy, biology and other fields due to unique grapheme structure, novel photoelectric properties and environmentally friendly. However, their fundamental researches and applications are limited by current synthetic methods that produce polycrystalline GQDs in small quantity. The project aims to further design and develop the multi-strategy for preparing gram-scale or even kilogram scale high-quality single-crystalline GQDs, including original molecular fusion route, electron-beam irradiation, microwave-assisted synthesis, and so on. Meanwhile, Structure-activity relationship of GQDs is investigated between optical bandgap, extinction coefficient, refractive index and size, surface functional groups. The project will promote large-scale, low-cost, environmentally friendly synthesis of high-quality GQDs, and establish the structure-activity relationship between optical properties and GQDs, which can establish the material and optical foundation on the application for low biological background and deep penetration of bio-imaging, efficient visible light using of water splitting and sensitized solar cells, light-emitting diodes and other fields.
