Abstract

Atractylodes lancea is an important genuine regional medicinal herb in the Maoshan area of Jiangsu Province. Traditional winter and spring seedling cultivation is constrained by low temperatures, resulting in problems such as low germination rates and insufficient seedling supply. In this study, graphene heating cultivation troughs and graphene polymer nano-energy heating nets were used as research objects, and a two-stage experiment was carried out in the experimental greenhouse of Jiangsu Vocational College of Agriculture and Forestry: first, the heating and insulation performance of graphene cultivation troughs was measured at three ambient temperatures of 5°C, 10°C, and 15°C; second, four heating treatments and two controls were set up to compare the effects of different heating methods on the emergence of micro-rhizomes, seedling growth, and energy consumption of Atractylodes lancea. The results showed that the graphene cultivation troughs could stably control the substrate temperature within the target range of 22–25°C under low-temperature conditions; their germination rate reached 100%, and the average plant height was 25.6 cm, significantly superior to the resistance-wire heating fan treatment and the control; the average energy consumption was only 1.22 kWh/d/m², saving 77% energy compared with traditional resistance-wire heating. Graphene precision temperature control technology has the advantages of both efficient growth promotion and significant energy savings in the winter and spring seedling cultivation of Atractylodes lancea, and can provide a reference for the facility-based and intelligent seedling cultivation of genuine regional medicinal herbs.
