Professor Gao Libo is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Physics, Nanjing University, a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (2024). He has previously received the National Overseas High-Level Young Talent award (2014), the Jiangsu Province "Double Innovation Talent" award (2016), the Jiangsu Provincial Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (2019), the Fok Ying Tung Young Teacher Fund (2020), and the Jiangsu Province "Climbing Project" (2024). He received his bachelor's degree from the Department of Materials Engineering, Dalian University of Technology in 2006, and his Ph.D. from the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011 (under Academician Cheng Huiming and Researcher Ren Wencai). From 2011 to 2015, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Graphene Research Centre, National University of Singapore (with collaborating supervisor Loh Kian Ping). In May 2015, he joined the School of Physics, Nanjing University full-time and established the Two-Dimensional Materials Preparation Laboratory. He conducts research on the controllable preparation and properties of wafer-scale, uniformly layer-controlled graphene and other two-dimensional materials required for integrated circuits. He uses chemical vapor deposition methods to prepare graphene, hexagonal boron nitride, transition metal dichalcogenides, and two-dimensional van der Waals heterostructures, and studies the surface adsorption and catalytic properties of low-dimensional materials. He invented the "proton-assisted growth of ultra-flat graphene films" method, with the results published in *Nature* (2020). He has published more than 60 SCI papers, including 3 in *Nature* and multiple in Nature sub-journals as first or corresponding author, with more than 12,000 citations. His results were selected as one of the Top Ten Advances in China's Chip Science in 2023. He has won the 18th China Youth Science and Technology Award (2024), the Nano Research Young Scientist Award (2021), and the Two-Dimensional Materials Young Scientist Award (2024), and participated in winning the 2017 National Natural Science Second Prize. At the conference's AI + Future Materials Forum, he plans to share the controllable preparation of wafer-scale two-dimensional materials and exploration of integrated circuit applications.
