Professor Hu Xuebing is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Jingdezhen Ceramic University, a recipient of the Jiangxi Province "Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talents Project," and a recipient of the Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars. He received his Ph.D. from the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2014. In 2008 and 2017, he conducted academic research at the European Membrane Institute in France and the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom, respectively. He also serves as an evaluation expert for the recognition of high-tech enterprises in Jiangxi Province and a member of the National Expert Database for the Membrane and Water Treatment Industry. He is mainly engaged in the research and development of functionalized graphene new materials, advanced ceramics, and high-tech inorganic membranes for environmental and energy applications, and a number of his achievements have been industrialized. He has presided over more than ten projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Jiangxi Provincial Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and major projects, and has participated as a key researcher in more than twenty projects, including National Key R&D Program projects and National International Science and Technology Cooperation Special Projects. He has published more than 80 academic papers in journals such as the Journal of Membrane Science, Applied Surface Science, and the Journal of Inorganic Materials, and holds more than 20 authorized national invention patents. In 2016, he won the Gold Award at the National Science and Technology Workers Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition of the China Association for Science and Technology (the only one in Jiangxi Province). In 2019, he won the Excellence Award at the "Hundred Graphene Science and Technology Achievements Exhibition" of the China Graphene Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance. In 2021, he won the Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Award, and in 2024, he won the Jiangxi Provincial Technology Invention Award. He served as an invited keynote speaker at the 2019 and 2020 China International Graphene Innovation Conferences. At the conference, he plans to share research progress and industrialization practices in functionalized graphene materials and environmental functional membranes.
