Professor Li Xuesong is currently a professor at the Electronics Science and Technology University (Shenzhen) Advanced Research Institute, a Clarivate Global Highly Cited Researcher in 2019, and the inventor of the method for "synthesizing large-area graphene films on copper foil by chemical vapor deposition of methane." He received his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua University and his master's degree in Materials Processing Engineering from Tsinghua University, and later obtained his Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in the United States. He successively conducted postdoctoral and associate researcher work at the University of Texas at Austin, the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, and Yale University. He has long been engaged in research on the preparation and application of graphene films. He has published more than 80 SCI papers in top journals including *Science*, *Nature Materials*, *Nature Nanotechnology*, and *Nature Photonics*, with more than 31,000 SCI citations. His research work has been widely reported by media such as BBC News, *Nature*, *ScienceDaily*, and *C&EN*. His 2009 paper in *Science*, "Synthesis of Graphene on Copper Foil by Methane Chemical Vapor Deposition," was selected by *Science* as one of the major breakthroughs of 2009, and has been cited more than 10,000 times on Google Scholar. This technical route is currently the main method used for graphene film preparation in research and production. At the conference, he plans to share the industrialization status and future directions of graphene film preparation technology.
