Professor Lian Fei is currently a "Yuanguang Scholar" Distinguished Professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Energy and Environmental Engineering, Hebei University of Technology, and director of the Institute of Pollution Control and Environmental Health. He has been selected for the Tianjin Innovation Talent Promotion Plan and was included in Stanford University's list of the world's top 2% scientists in 2023. He received his Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Nankai University in 2011. From 2011 to 2018, he served as an assistant researcher and associate researcher at the Agro-Environmental Protection Institute, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. From 2018 to 2021, he served as a researcher at Jiangnan University. Since June 2021, he has been a Yuanguang Scholar Distinguished Professor at Hebei University of Technology. From 2016 to 2017, he was sent by the state to the University of Massachusetts (Professor Baoshan Xing's research group) in the United States as a visiting scholar. He has long been engaged in research on the functions and environmental effects of biomass carbonized materials in terrestrial ecosystems, and the development and application of functional carbon nanomaterials. He has systematically carried out research on "the biogeochemical behavior of carbon functional materials in water and soil media and their environmental applications," and the results have been successfully applied in fields such as the remediation of heavy metal-contaminated farmland, smart soil, and green and efficient nano-agriculture. He has presided over multiple national and provincial/ministerial projects, including three National Natural Science Foundation projects. He has published more than 40 SCI papers, which have been cited more than 3,000 times, with the highest single paper cited more than 400 times. He received the Second Prize of the Tianjin Science and Technology Progress Award. He also serves as a member of the Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Plant Nutrition and Fertilizer Science, and as a young editorial board member of journals such as BIOCHAR and Carbon Research. At the conference, he plans to share the applications of carbon nanomaterials in the agricultural and environmental fields.
