Biography

Professor Zhi Linjie is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at China University of Petroleum (East China), director of the High-End Chemical and Energy Materials Research Center, a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and a recipient of the Chinese Academy of Sciences "Hundred Talents Program." He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Technology from the Institute of Coal Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2000, and conducted postdoctoral research at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2000 to 2002. In 2003, he joined the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Germany, and from 2005 served as a group leader there. In September 2007, he was selected for the Chinese Academy of Sciences "Hundred Talents Program" and joined the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology as a researcher. In 2014, he received the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and in 2021 he joined China University of Petroleum (East China). He has long been engaged in research on the construction and structural control of carbon-rich nanomaterials, functionalization and multi-component composites, and their applications in the energy and environmental fields. He has achieved a series of results in transparent conductive graphene electrodes, graphene films, molecular nanographenes, lithium-sulfur/lithium-chlorine batteries, and other areas, and led the formulation of the national graphene standard "Test Methods for Graphene Films." He has published more than 240 research papers, which have been cited more than 38,000 times, with an H-index of 87. He holds more than 40 authorized national invention patents, of which three patent packages have completed technology transfer and project implementation. Since 2015, he has been selected for multiple consecutive years as a Clarivate Global Highly Cited Researcher and an Elsevier China Highly Cited Scholar. At the conference, he plans to share design strategies for carbon-rich nanomaterials in energy storage and conversion.

Important Honors: Recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (2014); recipient of the Chinese Academy of Sciences "Hundred Talents Program" (2007, with preferential support in 2009); Clarivate Global Highly Cited Researcher (for multiple consecutive years); Elsevier China Highly Cited Scholar; First Prize of the Shanghai Natural Science Award, First Prize of the Shandong Provincial Technology Invention Award, and Third Prize of the Beijing Natural Science Award.
